Because I’m Worth It!
We all know that finding the right foundation shade can be a very trying experience—especially as a woman of color. Finding a shade that matches both your overall skintone and your undertones can be what seems like a lifelong process. Well, L’Oreal has heard us loud and clear and is making it easier for women to find their perfect, true match.
Their new online quiz allow you answer a few questions about your general appearance and at the end gives you your perfect match from the True Match Liquid Foundation collection. Check out the quiz!
I took the quiz and found out that my True Match shade is N8 Cappuccino. I was actually really impressed with the quiz. I have used L’Oreal True Match in the past—l love the price point and the coverage—and I always purchased N8. I was nice to see that my crude system of just kind of eyeballing it was accurate.
After I took the quiz, the wonderful folks over at L’Oreal sent me my shade. (In fact, they sent me several shades…which is good because my skin lightens a bit in the winter months so I’m more of a C7 Nut Brown.)
I tested it out and it was just as wonderful as I remembered. The coverage is amazing. Not so thick that your face feels weighted down, but good enough to cover up any perfections you don’t want to show through. The selling point for me, however, is the shine control. My skin is quite oily naturally and it’s not uncommon for me to have to bloat my face throughout the day. L’Oreal’s True Match foundation does a great job of keeping the shin under control. Even in this infamous Southern humidity!
Check out how matte the finish is!
