Your Surprise Is Waiting!

We all know Pinterest is where you go to curate your dreams. Your dream wedding. Your dream apartment. Your dream wardrobe. Even your dream guy. (Don’t act like I’m the only person with a Pinterest board solely dedicated to how I’d like my future boyfriend to dress.)
If you check out my Pinterest page, you’ll see I have my wedding already planned out, the makings of future cookbook, and all the style inspiration you can stand. Much like Pinterest, you never know what sorts of surprises and inspiration you’ll while browsing their shelves, but one thing is guaranteed, you’re going to love whatever you find! So, needless to say, I was super excited to partner with Marshalls to surprise a few of my Pinterest followers with items from their Pinterest dreams.
So I determined my top 3 Pinterest followers (using their built-in analytics) and reviewed their boards to see what sorts of things they liked. Then, armed with $100/each, I headed off to Marshalls.
First up was Rene. Her boards were full of DIY projects, inspirational quotes and lots of home decor inspiration.
I have to admit Rene was probably the easiest for me to shop for. Probably because I’m in my “nesting” phase of life and anytime I’m within a 6 mile radius of a Marshalls, the first thing I do is head for the “Home” department. So, I was really in my element for this one.
The first thing I came across was the wooden “R” and from there I made sure to coordinate all the other pieces. I ended up with lots of gold and monogrammed items. I also made sure to pack her goodie box full of items she could use to make her home feel cozy.
Long story short, I’m looking forward to figuring out a way to go hang out with Rene on her couch under this uber soft blanket with a glass of wine.
Up next was a page called Style N Poise.
Her Pinterest boards were packed to the brim with makeup inspiration photos and tons of swoon worthy hairstyles. I knew then she was a glamor kind of girl, which means I made a beeline straight to the beauty department at Marshalls. I basically tried to supply her with every girly girl’s dream. Makeup brushes, an eyeshadow palette, organizers, beauty blenders, a mirror, perfume, a jewelry box…you name it! I even managed to throw in a rotating face cleansers—because the most important step in flawless makeup is healthy skin—all for under $100!
Last, but not least was Paris J.
Paris had more boards than I’ve probably ever seen from one pinner. Lol. She is definitely making sure she doesn’t miss out of the chance to manifest her dreams! She had lots of boards dedicated to all of her favorite bloggers and I was shocked (and flattered) to see she had a board full of images she had pinned from my site. That made shopping for her easy because I knew (generally speaking) she would like the things I like to wear.
Because I didn’t know her size (and couldn’t find out without ruining the surprise), I decided to stick with accessories. Opting for a blue, grey, black and white color palette, I found her a great handbag, 2 gorgeous scarfs, a hat and a wallet.
I had to make sure I shipped her package off quickly, because I was so tempted to keep it ALL!
And there you have it! How to surprise 3 pinners with an early Christmas with just $100! Honestly, this may have been one of my favorite collaborations to date. It was such a nice change of pace not to be shopping for myself, but someone else instead. And the fact that it was a surprise was just icing on the cake.
