#WORKKIT, GIRL!
The great thing about having a nontraditional job is the fact that I can wear nontraditional workwear. During my law school days, that was something I worried about quite a bit. How would I maintain my individuality and love of fashion while adhering to the professional culture of an office? Well, as fate would have it, it’s not something I have to worry about anymore. (At least not in this line of work.)
Which is why I love White House Black Market‘s new WorkKit Collection. There are so many pieces that while conservative and (mostly) office friendly, are still unique and on trend.

One of the pieces I loved most was this asymmetrical collar striped top. I’m obsessed with the little touch of collarbone. It’s the perfect way to get in on the off-the-shoulder trend in the office. You could pair it with a jacket for a more conservative office environment and still be ready for happy hour with your coworkers.
I paired the top with a pair of white skimmer ankle pants. I have mixed feelings about the pants. I love the relaxed fit, especially because it’s for the office and you don’t want things to be too form fitting. But I’m not sure if the fit was exactly right for me. I probably could have used one size smaller. Unfortunately, this was the smallest size available. In the future, I’ll probably have them tailored down for a more comfortable fit.
Overall, I think it’s a great collection of office wear and should I ever end up with a more traditional job, I’ll definitely be looking to White House Black Market to help keep me…me.
