Vision Board with a TWIST!
With the new year right around the corner, everyone has New Year’s Resolutions on the brain. I’ve never been one for New Year’s Resolutions, because, let’s be honest, I know darn good & well I’m going to keep eating whatever I want and that I’m going to keep giving my ex’s text messages the stank eye following by a “Delete! Delete! Delete!” *queue Sh*t Black Girls Say* lol.
That being said, the one thing that I really want to do in 2012 is just be more in touch with myself. I decided to purchase a journal* so I could take a little time out of each day to process the things going on in and around my life and just live more in the moment. (I tend to be a “Super Planner”.) But the arts & crafts junkie in me couldn’t just have a plain journal. I’d been toying with the idea of making a vision board, but my OCD won’t allow for me to “taint” my walls with things that don’t match my decor. lol. #dontjudgeme. So I thought, “Why not make a vision journal?!”
I sat down with some old issues of Teen Vogue (before you ask…it came free with a Forever 21 purchase) and began putting together some words that I felt would be daily motivation to be a better blogger, a better dreamer, a better lover…just all around better.
*Journal purchased from Barnes & Noble. Get it here!
I’m excited about adding to this growing “vision journal” and seeing where the year takes me. :)
How are you staying focused on your dreams/goals in 2012?
