Put You in a Trance

I’m back with all my crazy mixing of pattern and textures! And this outfit might be the wildest yet. At the same time, it might also be my favorite!

This outfit started out as a bit of a joke. As I was packing for a recent trip I took with my best friend, I was doing my usual routine of trying on everything in my closet and hating it all. It drives her nuts when I try on countless outfits before deciding what to wear. But I can’t help it! Lol. She was nearing her “Just pick something already!” stage so I decided to give her what her eyes were she was asking for by throwing on what I thought would be completely outlandish thereby forcing her to yell at me to take it off and keep looking. But once I had it on we both fell in love. At the exact same time we looked at each other and said, “BIIIIIIII*******CCCHHH!!!” In our friendship, that’s slang for “YAAAASSSSS honey!!! WERK!!!!” (Don’t y’all dare judge us! lol)

What I love about this outfit is that it feels vintage-y and yet still very modern at the same time. I also love that it’s completely unexpected—at least for me it is. But I told you guys before that I’m in the process of completely revamping my style so I feel like this is a much-needed step in a new and exciting direction.
