On Green Street
In case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard, Chicago is a foodie’s paradise. If you ask me, Chicago has some of the best food in the country—second only to New Orleans. (Because, duh.)
So, as Hallie and I were walking through Fulton Market scouting out places to shoot, the smell of barbecue from Green Street Meats stopped us in our tracks. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to stop in for lunch that day, but it’s definitely on my “Must Try” list.

Now about this outfit…
You seen this jumpsuit several times before (sorry, not sorry), but you’ve never seen it styled quite like this. I’ve opted for heels and I’ve paired it with booties, but I’ve never gone the more casual cool route. At least not for the blog.
It’s one of the more “go-to” pieces in my wardrobe and I toss it on for almost any occasion. It’s super comfortable and easy to style which makes it a no-brainer when I’m looking for something to wear.
This time around I paired it with a new faux fur trimmed denim jacket I received from BB Dakota and platform brogues I purchased from Boohoo.
Two great things about this denim jacket from BB Dakota. 1) The faux fur trim is detachable–which means you can wear it year round; and 2) if you look really closely, the faux fur is actually a deep blue, not black. I didn’t realize that until I wore it outside and was pleasantly surprised.
I’ll admit I’m obsessed with these platform brogues—especially because I got them on sale for $25. (Boohoo does flash sales all the time, so make sure you check them out often.) I’ve owned platform brogues in the past, but always ended up selling, returning or simply never wearing them. I’ve already worn these tons of times. Something about them is just so me.
I love the shape of the toe (squoval?) and the simple design of the platform. I have another pair of brogues (expect to see those soon) that have a more detailed platform sole and while I love them, too, the simplicity of these win more over every time.
Finished off with a few casual accessories—a backpack and round sunglasses—I felt like the coolest girl on the block. It wasn’t true, but all that matters is that I felt like it was true. Lol.
