Have a Good Hair Day!

  • Post by Blake

Ever have one of those days where your hair or makeup just looks AMAZE-BALLS?! Today is one of those days for me! I know that doesn’t seem like that big a deal, but the longer I live in NY, the fewer days like this I seem to have. Between the air quality and this questionable water, things get a bit sketch sometimes. (Ask any NYC chick.) I mean, just yesterday I was ready to shave my head–like Mr. Clean smooth–because it looked absolutely RATCHET!

So before heading to my dentist appointment this morning, I went about my regular regime of Kinky Curly products and organic hair mayo…

Today was a shampoo day. I don’t wash my hair with shampoo that often–every couple of weeks or so. Instead I co-wash daily. After shampooing, I apply a mixture of hair mayo and leave-in conditioner. Some days I stop there and just let it air dry, but today I decided that I was feeling super fancy and added in the curling custard. I really love this product because it holds my curls in place throughout the day.

…and the result was wonderful!

I love and miss natural hair. When I was natural, afro-puffed, I used Carol’s Daughter and Products by Organics. My friend suggested that I make a product consisting of several oils and leave in conditioners; I loved the natural aroma and how the mixture gave my hair a texture of softiness and shine.

Now I have Locs, what is the recommendation of producs 🙂
