Gilty Pleasure
Ever have that one item that you just can’t stop wearing…no matter how hard you try? For me, that item is this ribbed maxi dress from A.L.C. It’s so comfortable and figure flattering that I can’t stop reaching for it time and time again.
It’s the perfect fall item and since the temperatures here in Chicago are getting increasingly lower, I feel like I have to get as much wear out of it as possible before packing it away for the winter.

The dress was part of my recent collaboration with Gilt City. I picked it out to wear as I explored the city trying out new Chicago experiences and restaurants. I loved it the moment it arrived. What I love most about this dress is the quality. It’s a simple maxi dress, but the materials really elevate it. It’s thick and holds its shape really well. I also really like the color. In the past, I would have stayed away from a color so close to my skintone for fear that it would wash me out, but for some reason I feel like it really works. But honestly, I love the fit so much I wouldn’t care what color it was. I would still wear it over and over again. lol
It was unseasonably warm this particular day, so I wore it with a pair of tan sandals and a bag in the same color. The dress is bit pricey, but matched with shoes and a bag both priced under $50, it’s the perfect high/low look.
