I love maxi dresses! They always make me feel sexy in a very understated way. I’m a firm believer in the fact that sexiness is a feeling, a state of mind and not a uniform. It doesn’t require a ton of skin and painted on fabric. Sometimes all it takes is just a little bit of skin—sun-kissed shoulders and a nicely toned back—to feel like the most beautiful woman in the room. This dress from Free People lives up to my philosophy. I love the loose fit and the open back. It shows just the right amount of skin. I also love that it can be dressed up or down. I recently wore it to a friend’s outdoor wedding with heels and a clear clutch. But, as you can see, it also makes for the perfect boho-chic summer dress. And the cherry on top? I bought it on sale for $49… a mere fraction of its original $148 price. You can’t beat that with a stick!
