My Very First Red Lip

Dear A$AP Rocky: YOU WERE WRONG!
The perfect red lip is all of the rage these days. However, too often, darker skinned women are told to steer clear of the bold trend on the grounds that we “just don’t look right.”
This particular shade is “Fire Engine” from Bee Cosmetics. What I like about it is that it’s a gloss—as opposed to a lipstick. That means it’s easy to apply for amateurs like me who haven’t yet figured out the whole “coordinating lipliner” thing and gives me the shine I like. (I’ll get around to figuring out the whole matte thing eventually.) It lasted for hours without me having to reapply it and it doesn’t give you that “thick and sticky” feeling. I haven’t put very many lipsticks to the test, but I’d say this one makes the cut!
I still plan to give the insanely “Ruby Woo” a try since it seems to be eeeeeverybody’s favorite. Is it worth the hype?

I’m personally not a fan of Ruby Woo – it doesn’t suit me well despite popular believe that it “works on everybody”. I suggest trying Clinique’s Long Last Soft Matte in “Crimson Matte”. I love it!!

aand you pulled it off well…..yes the ruby woo is worth the hype a bit drying on the lips but apart from that its a yes.

I keep hearing that it’s really drying. That may be a problem for a girl like me who never leaves home without a miniature jar of Vaseline for her lips. lol.

Ruby Woo is the one! It suits almost everyone! (Haven’t found anyone it doesn’t suit yet) I’d definitely give it a try x

I like moisturing lipsticks , ruby woo is extremely drying in my opinion. I mean I like the matte look but it bothers me how dry it leaves my lips. Try lip pigments like OCC, OR PNK DIGGER. they go on like gloss but dry matte. It feels much better and lasts a long time.

Beautiful! You can rock a red lip any day! I just recently started wearing red lipstick, at first I was intimidated by the colour…but I’ve come to love it. The only downfall for me is that it can be a maintenance colour depending on the type of lipstick ( gloss/mate/creme). And I have yet to master the perfect application of a red lip!!lol Ruby Woo really is a colour that looks good on any skin tone, however I do layer it with a burgundy lipliner. But I’m weird like that! Great look!

The shade is beautiful on you! Ruby woo is considered “cool” so it has blue undertones. I wear it sometimes and I feel like it looks great on my complexion even though “warmer” colors look better on me. However, “Russian Red” (also by Mac) I have heard great reviews about aswell.
I will have to check this brand out. TFS
