DIY: Button Earrings
Now that I’ve created this great new earring holder, I’m wasting no time filling it up. Yesterday I made a trip to Michael’s to return some unused supplies from a previous project and decided to pick up a few things while I was there.
I found some super cute “Hope” buttons and decided they would make really cool earrings. I’ve been really busy lately so all of my DIY’s have been quick and easy. This one is no exception. You can complete it in 5 minutes or less.
Supplies:
- Buttons
- Earring posts
Buttons: $1.39/each; Earring Posts: $2.19
It’s a one step process. All you have to do is simply hot glue the earring posts to the backs of the buttons.
For larger buttons like these, do not place the posts directly in the center of the button. It will cause the earring to be oddly positioned on the ear. For smaller buttons–I’d say nickle sized or smaller–it’s fine to place the post in the center.
Wait for the glue to dry…which should only take a matter of seconds. And just like that, you’re done!
I couldn’t resist snapping a few photos immediately; mainly because I loved them immediately! Sorry the wording is backwards, but you get the jist. xoxo
