Don’t you just love when you meet someone and your personalities just click?! That’s how I felt when I met fellow blogger, Cortnie of Style Lust Pages & Love, Cortnie back in October at the Style Bloggers of Color Conference. I’d been stalking following her on Instagram for a while and had already fallen in love with her line of handmade clutches. (Seriously, the girl is TALENTED!) But actually meeting her was the icing on cake. I immediately dubbed her my “Blogger BFF.”
She solidified her in position in my heart when she texted me one day to tell me that she was sending me the cobalt blue velvetette clutch I had fallen in love with on her Facebook page. Seriously, I could have kissed her! I loved it online and I loved it even more once it arrived at my apartment. I was completely taken aback at the quality and expert craftsmanship of the clutch. I mean, I knew it would be good, but DAMN, I didn’t expect it to be THAT good! There wasn’t a single flaw! It even came with a quarter tucked inside, because Cortnie’s grandmother, who taught her to sew, says, “Never give someone a purse without putting money in it first.” Now, that’s a philosophy I can get behind! lol.
I paired my clutch with a pair of highwaist distressed jeans, a sweater I thrifted a few years ago, a khaki blazer from H&M and I finished the look off with a pair of suede heel-less platforms in matching cobalt blue. Easy peasy. Now I’m off to spend my quarter!
What I’m Wearing:
