When I first started blogging 5 years ago, I had NO clue what I was doing. I just knew that I wanted to create a space where I was in control of my voice and a place where I could talk about the things that were happening in my life at the time. As my audience grew, I noticed that they were particularly drawn to my outfit posts and that my expression of my self-acceptance had a major positive impact on my readers. One thing lead to another and 5 years later I have a full-fledged personal style blog with readers on 6 of the 7 continents. I NEVER saw that happening! But now that it has, I spend a great deal of my time brainstorming ways to be better at my craft, to get the most out of my blogging experience and to give back as much as I can to my readers in the process.

I’ve tried a lot of different approaches over the years—some worked, some fail miserably—but it’s been a wonderful experience every step of the way. In that time, I’ve been fortune enough to work with a lot of my favorite brands, secure several sponsorships and, still, I’m always incorporating new ideas in order to be a better version of my blogger self. When I’m up late at night tweaking my layout, editing photos, or answering emails, I often find myself thinking, “If only I had known what I know now, 5 years ago.” And then it hit me! There are tons of other new bloggers out there who wish they had a little bit more guidance as well. (And I know this because they’re always in my inbox asking me for advice. lol.) But it can be hard to answer everyone’s email, especially when it’s the same question over and over again. So why not put all the information in one, convenient place!
